Martedi Winery 2008 sangiovese

Tasted at 63-68 degrees on the IR temp gun. Color: dark scarlet. Nose: bright cherries with a hint of smokiness, Sun-Maid cinnamon raisin bread. Mouthfeel: juicy and succulent. Tail trail: 10 seconds. Flavors: black cherry-root beer extract, red licorice, black raspberry, dark Sri Lankan spices. Super smooth with a firm acid spine. Paired with bulk spaghetti–so fine.

Alcohol: 13.6%. Clones: 75% grosso, 25% piccolo. Yakima Valley AVA. Power: 2/5. Balance:3/5. Depth: 3/5. Finesse: 2/5. Rated: 90. Value: $25. Paid: $20. This is WAwineman… uncorked, uneducated but not uncouth.
