Tasted at 63-67 degrees on the IR temp gun. Color: clear, dark magenta. Nose: black raspberry, plum, milk chocolate, tobacco leaf. Mouthfeel: soft, almost medium-bodied. Tail trail: 9 seconds. Flavors: black fruits, anise, pomegranate, cola nut, hint of red pepper on a bed of sleepy tannins. Food pairing was hearty beef stew–good.
