Jones of Washington 2007 Barrel Select red wine

Tasted at 58-63 degrees on the IR temp gun. Color: fluffy magenta. Nose: raspberry, black pepper, cherry. Mouthfeel: medium. Tail trail: 8 seconds. Flavors: black cherry, black currant, cranberries, cherry tart, tangy spices, macerated tumbleweeds, twangy tannins, smoked sausage. Food pairing was a wine-lifting Ruffles Max and Culinary Circle forgettable pizza.

Alcohol: 13.9% (yeeeahh…). Lewis & Clark Vineyard (estate). Columbia Valley AVA. 80% sangiovese, 15% cabernet sauvignon, 5% syrah. Silk screened labeling (nice touch). Power: 3/5. Balance: 2/5. Depth: 2/5. Finesse: 2/5. Rated: 89. Value: $20. Paid: $20. This is WAwineman… uncorked, uneducated but not uncouth.
