Doyenne 2008 roussanne

Tasted at 53-56 degrees on the IT temp gun. Tiffany gold in the Riedel with haunting aromas of honeyed peach, hay and cantaloupe. A full-bodied ride with thunderous acids lighting a flavor-packed pipeline of orange rind, lime zest, Granny Smith apple, and grapefruit. What a dame! Great pairing with chicken cutlet.

Alcohol: 14.1%. Ciel du Cheval Vineyard. Red Mountain AVA (label: “Columbia Valley white wine”). Drinking at its peak. Power: 3/5. Balance: 3/5. Depth: 3/5. Finesse: 2/5. Rated: 91. Value: $30. Paid: sweat. This is WAwineman… uncorked, uneducated but not uncouth.
