DeLille Cellars 2008 Chaleur Estate blanc

Tasted at 49-55 degrees on the IR temp gun. Soothing notes of lemon bath and Yakima peach dominate in the Riedel and expressing brilliant light gold. Medium-bodied with hearty acids that lead to a complex weave of nectarines, pear, lemon, peach, gravel, grass, granite, calcite, white onyx, coral, pink grapefruit, and fresh-cut fig. When paired with chicken parmigiana, it was a mouthful of dirty sex.

Alcohol: 14.2%. Components: 62% sauvignon blanc (37% Boushey, 15% Sagemoor, 10% Klipsun) and 38% Boushey semillon. Columbia Valley AVA. Power: 3/5. Balance: 4/5. Depth: 4/5. Finesse: 4/5. Rated: 95. Value: $60. This is WAwineman… uncorked, uneducated but not uncouth.
