Kirkland Signature 2012 Columbia Valley red wine

Tasted at 54-62 degrees on the IR temp gun. Color: black garnet. Nose: blackberry pie, oak, plum. Mouthfeel: full-bodied, velvety. Tail trail: 7 seconds. Flavors: blackberry pie, oak, plum. Fundamentally sound wine but lacks complexity as most Kirk Sig wines do.

Alcohol: 14.6%. Columbia Valley AVA. Winemaker: Gilles Nicault. Aged 15 months in French oak. Produced by Dolan & Weiss Cellars (Walla Walla). Power: 2/5. Balance: 2/5. Depth: 2/5. Finesse: 2/5. Rated: 88. Value: $18. Paid: $19. This is WAwineman… uncorked, uneducated, but not uncouth.
