Tasted at 56-64 degrees on the IR temp gun. Color: perky garnet. Nose: shimmy blackberry, bodacious plum, Red Whips. Mouthfeel: full-bodied yet velvety. Tail trail: 8 seconds. Flavors: black currant, black plum, red currant, cherry, finely ground spices.

Alcohol: 14.3%. Columbia Valley AVA. Vineyards: Ciel du Cheval, Kiona, Klipsun, Red Willow, Boushey, Olsen, DuBrul, Alder Ridge, Snipes. Aged 16 months in mostly 1 year-old French oak. Bottled December, 2013. Power: 3/5. Balance: 2/5. Depth: 3/5. Finesse: 2/5. Rated: 90. Value: $25. Paid: $33. This is WAwineman… uncorked, uneducated but not uncouth.
